With deep roots in the DC area, Bauer Energy's Founder and President was born in Washington, D.C. and grew up in Montgomery County, Maryland. Specializing in sustainability and energy investing, with over 15 years of industry experience, he has dedicated his career to making a positive impact to the environment.

For 10 years he worked at the private equity firm, Global Environment Fund, a global alternative asset manager investing in high-growth clean energy, energy and resource efficiency, environmental, and sustainable natural resource management industries throughout the world, where he supported operations and the investment program working directly under his mentor and firm’s founder, Jeff Leonard. After leaving the Global Environment Fund, Paul took a corporate development role at Dalkia, a subsidiary of EDF (Electricity de France), to assist in building an energy efficiency services platform in the U.S. through acquisitions. Most recently, Paul worked in business development at CEG Solutions, an engineering-construction firm specialized in energy efficiency renovation projects, where he led the firm’s efforts to expand existing business to the private sector, specifically focusing on commercial real estate, multi-family housing, higher education, and healthcare.
On the weekends you might find Paul camping in one of the region's state parks with his family, scrambling the rocks at Great Falls, or enjoying a performance at Blues Alley in D.C.
